Last night someone backed into bike and knocked it over. Then left it there. No note, nothing

Damages include
-Scratched Exhaust
-Broken Pulse Generator Cover (completely cracked)
-Torn seat
-Scratched Rear plastic fairing

People are such assholes

Anyone wanna sell me a used generator cover before I plop down $40 at BikeBandit?

Could be worse, man...at least it was still there.

Wow, seriously that sucks so bad.

If you find the person I'll work 'em over with a baseball bat for ya!

$40?  Check the price at the stealership.   $40 sounds a little high.   I think I paid like $25 for one of those last year.  With the money you save, you can buy a voodoo doll and get back at the a$$hat who knocked your bike over!
On those days when life is a little too much and nothing seems to be going right, I pause for a moment to ponder the wise last words of my grandfather:  "I wonder where the mother bear is?"

Generator cover?  Hmmm.

If you're talking about Item 11 (Cover, Contact Breaker) on this MrCycles diagram, then BikeBandit has it for $27.05 and MrCycles has it for $25.68.

If you're talking about Item 14 (Magneto Cover) then $40 is a good deal.  (BikeBandit has it for $91.08 and MrCycles has it for $75.42)

If you're talking about a different part altogether, please clarify.  Include the model year of your bike too - I priced 2001 parts.  (See the Crankcase Cover section for your model year as offered by the various vendors on the Parts Fiche page.)

I feel your pain Tussey - the pricks have jumped on a plane to Sydney and visited my place!  So much for security apartments.

They've tried to either push the bike, or in sitting on it, lost balance.  Either way, it's moved back about half a meter and fallen to the right, catching up against one of the building's pylons.  This was fortunate, as the seat's cushioned most of the impact, and managed to save the pipe hitting the deck by no more than half an inch!  Unfortunately, it's ripped a dirty hole in my seat, and the tank's managed to just scuff the concrete pylon.  >:(

I've been so agro all day.  Like you mate, she was left as I described with nothing to say sorry or otherwise.  I'd understand better if they DID try to steal it, but they just decided that damaging my property was more fun.  And I have to live around these people.

Never mind.  The property managers are feeling my wrath until every resident has been mailed and warned that a report has been filed with the cops.

Like it or not, society seems to be fascinated with motorcycles.

I, on the other hand, am fascinated by the stupidity of those in our society.

I don't know how you guys get along with out a garage??
I know not every one has the option...
But I don't mind forking out the extra $$ to have a space where I can lock up my beloved baby. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if she was at the mercy of the populous... ha chances are if I couldn't lock her up, you would see me out there in a sleeping bag.

try a proximity alarm, a f%$king LOUD one...

I used to grumble about the moto parked in our livingroom, but I'd probably do it now, too, if I didn't have a garage!

That would look cool - my new custom paintwork - I call it "Blood & Brain" ... have to beat you to the patent site ...  :icon_twisted:

That cover doesn't look half bad - I've never seen them about before.  As per ledfingers, it might possibly be a pain to travel with, but perfect for my little situation downstairs.  I'd feel most satisfied if I deafened the piece of shite.

It's community knowledge like yours that first made me read this forum, and subsequently buy my baby.  Thanks mate!
