They really f%&ked that fairing up.  I'm sorry all eff owners, but I just had to say it.  The E's and K/whatever else the '01+s are called are waaaay more attractive.

Aside from that, the new sportbikes are all pretty ugly (Kawi/Yam/Suz), and seem pretty cheap/chintzy to my eye.

I'd say that the R6's would have to be the ugliest thing getting around after Paris Hilton, I have no Idea why any one would want to own one.

 

I liked most of the sport bikes from '04-'06ish...but the new ones all pretty much look like crap.

Yeah...I don't know what it is...if my tastes have just stopped following whatever is the newest/trickest thing out there, but I still like the 916/998 and carb'ed 900SS series from Ducati, as compared to the modern versions of both.

Maybe I'm just starting to get grouchy and old.


The V-Strom I sat on was pretty cool, probably going to be my dad's next bike unless I convince him to stick with the Ducati and higher bar risers.

I dunno; the new CBR600 is kind of bland, but I can't help liking it. And (of course) the new Suzuki's (save the 1k and its awful dual exhaust) are beautiful.

I see what's being saying about the Ducati's, though; I WILL own a carbed 900ss.

Edit to include the Triumph Daytona 675: that is a sexy machine.

Why are they recalling R6's?  That is going to kill Yamaha around here.  Everybody and their sister has an R6 in KC.

IMO, if I were to get a new Japanese sport bike, I'd get the '07 Honda VFR800 Interceptor.  They retro paint scheme is the hotness.

Yea ... cos its a piece of crap. Last week at the dealer ship, I sneezed on one and it cracked. There was one still in a crate on the truck comming down towards the dealer 30 miles away and it also broke from my sneeze. They told me it was going to cost 35,000 to fix the plastic on that one on the showroom floor. I said yea ... Its in my car and ran away. then i shaved my head and beard and went back and sneezed on another R6 when no one was looking. Then I went and bought some jets from there and went home. The Idjits didn't recognise me with my disguise. They also found the other R6 from the truck broken and that made them suspect the truck driver. so i think i am free now.

I did see the Interceptor there...that bike looked like one of the best there.

Retro=cool.

Case in point: Black/yellow/white scheme on the Yamahas.  Even if the plastic is ugly, paint is still nice.
