haha back on topic.
I think a black tail would really good, just put some kind of black decal on the blue fairing to tie the front and back together.
I don't know much about painting, it might be worth it to talk with a paint shop. prep the material your self, let them paint it black then do the clear coats yourself. That might make the price dooable.

Really it would just be the clear I would be worried about.  If I did flat black with a rattle can, cant notice too many imperfections I might add to it. Just tossing up the idea but I do really like black

Damn!!!  I would have done the same.  I wouldn't care what the bike looked like at that point.
