So, I need help.

Yesterday was sunny, so I was getting set to go for a ride. Haven't ridden in a few weeks, so battery was nigh to dead. I said to my friend, "there's cables in the garage, jump it for me while I get geared up."

So I come out about 5 minutes later and he's freaking out. No power to anything.

Turns out that he reversed the battery poles.

My problem is not in the starter I think, its more basic than that but I dont know where to start. When I turn the key, I get no lights on the intrument panel.

What do I do?

Check the fuse on the right side, under the side cover.

It's pretty obvious.  It's under the right side frame cover (the plastic under the seat).
Sorry, I won't answer motorcycle questions anymore.  I'm not f%$king friendly enough for this board.  Ask me at:

Yep, take the seat off, then pull out the front of the plastic side cover (pops out of a rubber grommet, so you can pop it back on, and off without tools), and you may see a fuse (clear yellow plastic), that's the backup, the one in use is under the cover next to it.
