It's 9.99 + $7 shipping... I guess after shipping it's about the same as buying a battery tender junior from wal mart. Just thought I'd ask if anyone has ever seen anything like this?

Looks pretty rinky-dink. Plus, you can take anything back to Wal-Mart. So if you bought the battery tender there, and didn't like it...... No such luck with eBay.
If you want cheap, try Harbor Freight. They have a few trickle chargers for under $30.

That just looks like a 6/12 VDC wall-wart with connectors. It might be fun to buy one, review it, vivisect it to let you all know what's inside.

Chargers are just specialized power supplies anyway. Constant current, constant voltage, desulficating, etc.

It would probably work fine to maintain/feed an idle battery. Pb acid battery science hasn't changed much in 100 years. Our use/needs have changed way more.
