50HP out of a 450? That's pretty decent, I guess. It's about on par, or slightly lower, than all the other street legal supermotos. Husqvarna, KTM, and Aprilia all make stupidly powerful 450 SMs. The Aprilia SXV 4.5 makes 60HP at the crank, and the 5.5 (550cc) makes 70HP at the crank. Hell, even a Honda CRF450R puts out 55HP at the crank, and that is without any modifications.

Ferrari is also going to make a line of high performance toilets. 0-60 in 3.4 gpf and does the quarter mile in 9.12... :icon_rolleyes: :icon_rolleyes:

Cool bike tho.

Stupid hurts. Dress for the crash, not for the ride.

Quotewell, is it worth fifteen grand? No, not really. there are less expensive better bikes out there.

This may be a dumb question, but why the small wheels? Is it a SuperMoto thing?

Not the brightest crayon in the box, but I can still be seen from a distance.  ;P

Supermotos use 17" wheels for better handling on the street.

Thanks.  Let me add what I found.

Supermoto (also called Supermotard due to its strong foothold in France) is a cross-over of motocross and road racing. Races are commonly held on road racing tracks with an off-road section in the infield; approximately 70% tarmac and 30% dirt. The motorcycles used are frequently custom-created combinations of off-road motorcycles and road-racing rims/tires. Riders also wear a combination of road race and offroad equipment, normally leathers and a motocross helmet and boots. Unlike normal motorcycle racing, the emphasis lies on slower (<100 mph / <161 km/h), short and twisty tracks, where skill matters far more than outright machine performance.

The motorcycles currently used for Supermotard racing are predominantly single-cylinder 4 stroke powered dirtbikes with 17" or 16.5" wheels. The smaller rims allow the use of up to 5.5" wide superbike road racing slicks and are often hand grooved on the rear tire to facilitate slightly better acceleration on the dirt stretches of a motard course.
