Well I have the head all pulled apart right now, sooooo now would be the time to put in a cam  :D

I found this:  http://www.megacyclecams.com/catalog/page50.pdf

Anyone else have recommendations/experience/hints. (BTW I'm having a pro do this  :icon_mrgreen: )

Any other leads would be appreciated.
Rich, RIP.

Are you building a race motor? I've cammed motors before, but it's a rather expensive mod for simple street use. On top of that, I doubt you'll see much gain: with the GS motor, maybe 3 hp if you're lucky. Personally, I think you'd be better off with adjustable cam-gears.

Oh, and make sure the pro you're having do this is actually a pro. It's a pretty simple procedure, but the wrong screw-up will turn your motor into a large paper-weight.

Flame on!

Yes I should have added that disclaimer.

1. Yes I know I'm not going to see huge gains, this is more for my amusement than anything.

2. Yes he's pro, he works as a mechanic for Ducati.

3. Cam + Exhaust + Intake + 78mm pistons (?) + Ignition advance + Wheel Swap and tires + RGV250 rear (or similar) + Race-Tech front. Insert obvious re-jet sequence in between each motor mod. (Not all at once because I'm poor though)

Ignition = done (will need to poke around a bit after each further mod obviously.)
Cam = This post, probably shipping Monday if I find one  :icon_mrgreen:
Intake = Lunchbox
Front Suspension = Race-Tech (Full racing not progressive.)
RGV 250 rear = RGV 250's aren't common. That and I've heard rumors of a Koni. (Which would be nice)
Wheel Swap = When these tires are toast, which means soon.
78mm pistons = Maybe, not sure.... That's pretty extreme.
Brakes = Green Stuff pads before spring.

Also if I go to the 541 setup (78mm pisonts) I'm thinking of changing out the carbs.
