Wanted to add a few pictures of the windscreen I just put on the bike. While searching for the right one, I couldn't find any pictures of a GS500 with different screens. So maybe this will help someone else.

I tried to add "colored" stuff to help the screen show up. It has light tint, but tended not to show up without some contrast. I still need to make some changes, namely two struts/braces from the mirrors to the screen to reduce vibration and something to keep the headlight from lighting up the screen. It tends to reflect off of the inside, which is fairly annoying.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the way it has changed the bike. Gone is the pressure on my chest at speed. It makes riding in cool air tolerable as well. And I think it compliments the bikes looks.

Peas.

I think it looks awesome. If I went naked I'd definitely consider that one.

Good looking Windshield,  Where did you buy it from?
I'm not lazy just a master of efficiency

how much of a wind reduction difference do you get out of this windshield?
1991 Suzuki GS500E , a bunch of crap done to it :)

Whitetiger -

I bought the windshield off of eBay. It was $75 total. 60 for the windshield and 15 for shipping. Took four days from the time I bought it until I was putting it on the bike.

The wind reduction is phenomenal. I actually had been considering selling this bike and buying something with a fairing. The bike just wasn't enjoyable at speed or on the highway. Now it is totally different. Most of the wind is directed up at the helmet, but with very little turbulence. It's really hard to describe, but I am no longer thinking about selling the bike.

I am going to get some better pictures today to post.

hey it looks like the reason your headlight is getting up in the windshield is because it is sticking out just ever so slitly try to find something to go from the windshield to just past the back side of the headlight and you should solve that problem

Nice look with that color bike.

The screen should not protrude beyond the headlamp. Perhaps you can adjust the rods and such to move it back?

God save us from LED turn signal mods!

It took more than a day, but I finally got some good pics of the bike with the windshield on it. The overcast weather actually help the screen show up better. I've also just added the rear box. Cargo space!!!!

Anyway, hope this helps anyone looking for a new windshield. These are clickable thumbnails BTW.
