OK its nothing to do with quality or customer service etc ...
If you are paying for a newenough purchase using paypal, make sure your address that is set as home is the right one. They never even ask and you never get a chance to set it to anything you like when making the purchase.
Ebay which owns paypal has it set up differently so you can select the address at the time of purchase. New enough does not. Just a caution. I had stuff go to my old address cos it was set in my paypal.
Cool.

I would suggest removing any payment info that you don't intend to use.
I went thru a transaction that pulled the money from the wrong account (not my default account)

Sounds like New Enough did exactly what they SHOULD do...  Would you want someone using your PayPal account and having stuff shipped to their address?

If you don't verify your address before ordering crap, that's your own stupid mistake...  One that I would have kept to myself.

OK if someone was using my paypal ID, they can set it to their address just fine, so this problem does not arise.

Yes I agree, however ebay who owns paypal allows you to change addresses at the buy it step. In short, new enough has deleted part of paypal's functionality. I never even saw the address on the order page. It didn't even show it.

Many places will only ship to the verified pay-pal addy. Usually the one that your bank statements go to,wich should also be your primary addy under pay-pal.This keeps people from getting into your account and changing the addy to their own. There are extra steps to get the addy. verified. You should keep them up to date as you move. It's a smart move on the seller part to ship only to a verified addy.

The Buddha

I just want people to know that.

People move and carry paypal accounts from older residences because the full functionality of paypal which ebay uses, because they are the same company will allow you to enter an address at order time.

So essentially new enough has deleted what has been provided by paypal under the guise of being better. If it was better then ebay wont be providing it ???

Besides if someone is using someone else's paypal how long is it going to take them to redirect the shipment to their own address. This is what I call a bogus argument.

Yea ... we are not allowing you to change your address because someone may have hacked your paypal. That is just dumb. If it has been hacked, they'd have set it to their address anyway.

Its essentially an oversight or somehting on new enough's part and I am not buying the security part. Or maybe some other incompatibility in the websites. Ebay lets you switch adresses at order time. Ebay owns paypal. Simple as that. New enough forgot or is unable to get that to work. Claiming that new enough is better than ebay when it comes to security is total BS. Its not smart in anyway because ebay does not prevent you from changing it at order time.

If you read the fine print on the pay-pal security info they tell you that if you move that you are supposed to use the new addy and then go through the process to verify it.If you are using a credit card for the account you have to do this every time your card expires anyway. Also the e-bay/paypal buyer/seller protection plan only works with the verified addys so apparently e-bay does feel its a more secure way of doing things. I think the only oversights, and there were two. were 1 new enough for not saying up front that they ship to only the primary addy and two if you are used to changing the addy and they didn't give you that chance that should have thrown up a flag to you to call them or at least shoot them an e-mail about it before it got shipped.

The folkes at new-enough are some of the best I've ever come across as far as customer service goes.Last spring I ordered a jacket when it arrived it was too small. When I contacted them they sent out the right size that day...No extra charge on my card, no waiting for the first one to get back to them. Most online sellers would have charged me again then issued a refund when to old one got back to them.Or just waited for the exchange one to get to them before sending the new one....I was stunned, I would never take that risk in my own business but they do to keep customers coming back.

The Buddha

I talked to them and I did say its not about the service or product right in the first line.
I also said its new enough + paypal in the title. If there was room for more text in the title I'd ahve put more details.
It should have thrown up a flag in my mind - yes I agree, but I haven't used paypal to pay for non ebay items in a long time. Now Paypal oddly enough will show your previous selected address in that list when you go to it from ebay. Not your home address.

I have never "verified" my address. I dont want paypal to have access to my bank account. Instead, I have "confirmed" my address, which is my credit card billing address. Some people wont ship to an unconfirmed address, so those ship to my house. All others ship to my Ship To address, my office.

Look closely at the differences between Verified and Confirmed. You dont need to give them your bank info if you dont want to. newenough had no problems shipping to my home address so they dont need a verified account.

well In my case they are both confirmed and verified as I have a specific bank account for pay-pal.I'd rather they had access to a limited amount of money that to all credit available on my card plus it makes moving money around easier for me.

I am aware of how many companies work with these addys. I've had several companies that had to send stuff out more than once because they refuse to ship to my business addy and ship to the confirmed home addy.where the neighborhood hoodlems promptly remove the boxes from my porch before I get home.

Besides that is why you can designate a primary addy.....It's the default...why would you leave an addy as primary when you don't live there anymore????  I might like to do that with snail mail and my bills but they'd eventually catch up with me.

well, technically you're only liable for $50 if there's credit card fraud or a bad transaction with your CC. My bank account has money in it and I would rather limit that, since I dont have one specific for paypal. I dont us it that much.

I know ... I love credit cards. Especially if you pay them off at the end of the month. Revolving = disaster. They track everything, they literally call me whenever they think I am being defrauded, and when they see things for the first time, they call me. Love it.
In any case, new enough is great. Just paypal + new enough ... I shouldv'e used my credit card ... stupid me. I did that with ron ayers just a few minutes prior to it.
