If you actually read what I wrote, you'll note that I pointed out the only ice that was actually on the roads was the frozen sheets that fell off the red lights. Yes, there was ice out, but it was on railings, cars, and other places the wind could blow around. The reason there was a patch of ice for my foot in the parking lot exit was because it was over a big drain tub that went underneath the drive. The reason it was so slippery was mainly because it was cold and wet.

Nope. Sold the GS to get the DRZ. And I am starting to get used to having the tail end come around on me, but it is still unsettling. I am in the process of getting track plastics together so I can change out my bodywork for track days and when I want to goof off in a parking lot (i.e. slide around until I fall, pick it up, and do it again!)

Lol. That first car was a real smacktard on the gas.

So who is more to blame... the drivers who don't have chains or the people standing around watching them?

What are the people supposed to do?  A 3,000 lb car sliding on ice can't exactly be stopped by a 175 lb human sliding on ice...

someone standing at the top of the run saying helpful things like "Stop" would go a long way. But, life isn't perfect.
