Hey guys,

Been wondering, does anyone know of a aftermarket windsheild for the GS500FK ? specifically the 2005 model, man that oem one is shorter than short and is useless.

Cheers and thank you for the leads.

Also, just for clarification, model name is the GS500F, and the year designation (starting with the K) is K5. An '01 is K1, an '02 is K2, etc. So it's a GS500F, with a K5 year designator.

Puig also makes one for the F model.

Zero Gravity's double bubble gets great reviews from the people I know who have it.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

i love my zero gravity, on rainy days  you can lift your head just above the lip and around 110 the wind cleans your shield for you!!!!!!!!  kind of like a car wash dryer!!!!

cool!, now which model you have and do you have a picture of it on your bike?
I am leaning towards the touring model from zero gravity, I will use the gs as a
daily driver, but wondering it it will be too tall.

I have had the Puig and Zero Gravity and I like the Puig better, it seems to be better constructed and proveds better wind protection.

I know your asking about windsheilds but i replaced the bars on mine (04 F) with a set of suburban machinery type II bars, toke care of the wind problem.

You are right.   The OEM windscreen totally sucks balls.   I used to b*tch and moan about the wind all the time on my old GS.  My friends thought that I was being a crybaby until they rode it on the highway and saw for themselves.

Look at the bright side... its good practice for riding a street-fighter

I dunno what all you guys are bitching about.. I ride my '02 naked on the interstate all the time.. I enjoy it. I've had it up to 120 (ind).. no problems

That is because you dont' know the pleasures and advantages of a bike with a decent windscreen.   Sliding backwards off the bike if I don't have a good hold of the handlebars isn't a danger on my R6.

It was definitely within the realm of possibility on the old GS

NiceGuysFinishLast

Ehh, I've ridden a gixxer 750.. it was nice and all.. but I have no issues with my GS.. might also partly be because of the fact that I'm 5'3, 130lbs.. I don't present much surface area to the wind..
