So I'm in need of a decent all season/ weather jacket. I started looking on new enough and saw the ebay close outs. Pretty good deals to be had except for the odd sizes and colors. Fast forward and this is what I end up buying.



I put a low bid in thinking I would be out bid since the jacket retails for 180 or so. I thought my god is it UGLY! But it is very easy to see, which is good. Right? Plus from what I've read it is  reviewed pretty well. Anyway, go figure no one else bids on it and now its mine. My friend said i'll look like I was humped by slimer.

Wow.. for $44, you done good. It's hideous.. and joe rocket... but hey.. it's $44!

Visibility:

1)  The bright HOLY shaZam! GREEN does make the people that notice you REALLY see you.
2)  The HOLY shaZam! GREEN does NOT make people see you...  If they were going to see you before, they're not going to see you now.
3)  When I was wearing that jacket, I had a buddy spot me on the freeway 2 miles ahead of him...  And he caught up to say hi.   ...  I also had neighbors wave to me on the freeway... And anyone else that knew me and my jacket would wave to me...  So...  You Can't hide with that thing on.

Warmth:

1)On cold days, it's plenty warm with the liner in...  If it's a little big, you can cram more stuff under it for those REALLY cold days.
2) On moderate days, it's plenty warm without the liner in...
3) On hot days, it's still hot...  No matter what you do...  The vents SUCK SUCK SUCK and you will be HOT HOT HOT!

Waterproofiness:

1) The fabric is water-resistant even if uncoated...  If coated with a waterproofing agent, it's great... No problems (for me... YMMV)
2) The vents and the zippers on NOT waterproof...  So, if you have the "rain flaps" even a little wrong, you will be wet at every vent and zipper.

I never crashed in it...  So, I don't know how it handles....  But, moving from that HOLY shaZam! GREEN color to a black jacket was a rude awakening.
