well,  I got 5 years out of my wife's 2002 Suzuki OEM battery.  Yes, she is pulled out every winter and trickle charged in a nice warm basement.   My wife only has 6600KM on her bike,  not alot of riding in 5 years..ha  I tried to start the bike last nite..... lights are nice and bright but not enough amps to power up the bike.  I put it back on the trickle charge for 6 hours and she started up nicely this morning....but not holding a charge for more than 24hrs.  On another note , my 2002 Honda CBR's OEM battery is healthy as a horse.  She started up my bike in a micro second.... off to the Canadian Tire store for new battery.....hope to ride this week.  :) :)

That's my average life [expectancy] for batteries.  Except for one Yuasa out of an '82 Kawasaki Kz440 that lasted more than 10 years, and was sold in one of the Yamahas that I had.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Dunno where you're located.. but in Florida, I was lucky to get 3-4 years out of a car battery.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

3- 4 years on a car battery.....man, I get up to 8 plus years on a car battery.  I live in Vancouver, BC.   and my Honda CBR  600 is on its 6th year....just lucky I guess

Yeah I have a 99 and have no idea if the batt is original or not. The batt was getting pretty weak and it was hard to start when it was cold out, especially when I hadn't ridden it in a couple days. A few days ago I checked the electrolite level and it was really low for some reason  :dunno_white: anyways, I topped it up and noe it starts much better. :thumb:
