hi guys, over the last few nights i have been building a bike alarm for my gs500, ive been looking at buying a ready built alarm but they seem to be at an alarming price. ( i'm a qualified electronics engineer ) ...anyway most bikes seem to be stollen buy morons with a van... (  IN THIS  AREA   ).

so my alarm concentraits on tilt switches  and a motion detector,  i thought  picking up the bike to load it into a van  or just trying to free wheel it down the road, tilt switches  and a motion detector  would do fine...  this is assuming  you havent locked your bike up  because you' ve  just popoed in to the shop or shome thing...

the alarm fits under the seat  and works on three  tilt switches  and a motion detector,  this gives left , right, and front - back tilt  and  a general motion detector for every thing else,  also i have it tied into the side stand switch  and a tamper switch under the seat ( to stop anyone trying to get at the alarm electrics, the alarm it self is about   2 by 3 inches ans about 1 inch high,  the alarm connects to a 120 db siren under the seat ( its LOUD )  also iv'e wired a flashing  led an the dash board   and a flashing bigger led  inside the back light array to warn people its alarmed..................the alarm  meets all my  initial criteria  and  works as planned..  all at a cost  of  about   £ 20........if  anyone  would like the info on this alarm  let me know via my  e- mail  address  and  i shall see about forwarding the plans  ....................i  will  give the plans away FREE OF CHARGE ... but its up to you to build it......should take a few  hours...ideal  to build over the  winter....ready for next year

Home-brewed alarms are always best. The thieving shits who steal bikes quickly become familar with the more popular alarms and quickly learn what triggers them how to avoid setting them off and how to disable them.

ohoh .. guess i need to get me a plan .... any way to wire it to where ... if they happen to cut the wire for the horn it sets off a second dairy horn placed ealse where ?
