Well I couldn't let mak Get Ahead of me. :laugh:I've been without playing in the Dirt for close to 10 Years now since I go rid of my 92 CZ400 and Have been wanting to get back into it but not near the Danger of an Open Classer.I don't have Health or Life insurance. Back last Spring A friend of mine was Helping me landscape and was in a tight Spot and had a Couple of Junked out bikes that he wanted to sell. One was 77 GS750 and the Other was well a nearly nice Example of an Early TS125.I gave him $50 each for them and figured I would Either Part them out or use Parts off of them or maybe fix them up later on.The TS was missing a few Parts Coil,Carb and gastank and I have enough new Parts Such as Cables,Gaskets Points ETC in cse it needs something.I went the other day and Checked it out a Little bit Closer. It is Rough but I did Find a nice Carb and Coil for $20.Thanks to the Internet. :thumb: :thumb: Now I just have to find a tank and possibly a frame. The wheels are there and in great shape and the Motor has Lots of Beautiful Compression. :thumb: :thumb: it would be Nice if I could find a Titled Frame I would do like a few of the Other Guys and make a Vintage Supermotard. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Right now I'm Just Shooting for Getting it running and Going for less than $100.I'm Hoping that that will be Including a Maybe at least a Dented or Rusted tank.I'm Not trying to Win A beauty Pagent with it I just want to play in the Dirt a little bit. ;)

I used one of those fake "shell" covers from a mini-chopper on my TS and then stuck a half gallon pocket bike fuel tank under it.  It was pretty ghetto bit it worked and it didn't look bad.

I'll probably go with a 2 liter Pepsi bottle and electrical tape for a while.

I've done that, too.

Actually, for a while, on one of my karts, I had built a flange that screwed into 3liter soda bottles.  It was great trying to put the bottle on without spilling fuel all over the place.  The guy who bought that kart from me attached that flange to a hose then built a rack for the coke bottle to hang from...looked like an IV bag hanging behind the driver

Why don't you get health insurance before a new toy, that way my taxes don't go up when you do get hurt or sick.

Incidentaly, those old GS750s last forever and are fun streetbikes... gotta love 1970s Japanese bikes, the origin of modern sportbikes.

Actually I can't Afford Health Insurance but when I do get Hurt or Sick it comes out of my Pocket (I won't leave tax payers Holding the Bag) if I have to go to the Doctor.Usually in both Cases I just Doctor Myself. The Local Co Op has some damn good Horse Medicine. :thumb: I've decided if I do get Hurt Bad enough to get Disabled or Whatever I have a Good .22 to put myself out of Everyones Misery. We Have a Family Cemetary so it won't cost anything for a Plot and a Tupperware Box will suit me just fine. ;)

I would have liked to have gotten the GS750 running but it's pretty well Junk. The Idiot I bought it from left the Plugs out and the Carb off in the Barn and the Pistons are Pretty well stuck and the Motor is full of Dirt.I mainly just bought it for the Disc Brake rear  end if I ever get a Disc Front end GT750.With a little bit of work t's pretty simple to swap everything Over.

I've got a disc brake GS750 front end.

Motor not junk...motor good...motor need love...

Pour diesel on top of the pistons and let it sit for a day.  Repeat tomorrow.  Then try and turn the motor with a breaker.  If it budges, turn it back the other way.  Repeat until she turns smoothly.  No engine is ever permanently stuck unless someone does something like sticks bolts in the combustion chamber.

I have used plastic lawnmower tanks for temp fuel supply...and a bungie cord

when I got my skinney Buddha Loves You....87 GSXR750
it had been sitting outside for 4 years with no carbs on it
pulled plugs and poured marvels mystery oil in the cylinders.....
and every few days i'd put it in 5th and rock it back and forth
about 3 weeks later it budged.....
hooked up a car batt and puked oil all over the shop when it let go

used carbs and 20k later still runs good.....
want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop
