I just learned... the guy is from Austin, TX, and his name is Brian, too! He qualified 16th at that race, and he's doing well right now. His bike is almost fixed, too.

And he got to ride with Ben Spies!

I assumed you'd a known who it was, alpha...it was posted up in one of the southern forums not all too long ago.  There wasn't so nifty a pic but there were shots of his leathers...not that bad off considering the wreck.

Spies is a great rider but I don't think I'd trash a gixxer to get a ride with him.
