I did my first oil change the other night.

So, I changed the oil and all went well, easy peasy. better mileage, slightly quieter on the road..all the normal stuff. No leaks.

But I am hearing a SUPER FAINT little 'tiktik' after I downshift and just begin to hit the friction zone with the clutch. It only happens when I go from 4->3 and 3->2.

Its so faint, I wasn't even sure I was ACTUALLY hearing anything, but I am sure its there. since it only happens during a downshift, I am not really able to stand the bike up and listen to where the sound is coming from .

I know its not that floating camshaft thing. I'm familiar with that one.

any thoughts?

The valves on the GS are pretty noisy probably just them from you down shifting the engine revs are raising up some.  How many miles does it have?

13k miles. I did the 11000 mile service, including adjusting hte valves, etc, right after I bought it, at about 12500 miles.

I'd guess the valves as in just them being noisy not a problem.
