'04+ models are made in Spain.

 How many digits does the VIN have? If it was never registered  and you don't have an MSO you are out of luck.

I think its the standard 17 or 18. Im not near the bike right now nor did i write the vin down. I can check later and post it.

The JS1GM series started in 1989. JS1GM51A*K2100001

The VTTGM series started with 2004. i.e. VTTGM51A*42100001  (* being a number)

Check my Census Page for the rest of the strings from the various years.

since you have 30 day tag info....
go to the selling dealer and find out if the title work was ever sent in
also find out if there is a lean(loan) on it?
