OK,  so I just want some opinions.......I'm 6'  and 220  and the suspension on my GS makes me want to scream most of the time   I found a full front end the forks, wheel, clip ons, master cylinder, fairing  and all the controls.  It came off a GS so it'll fit but originally It looks like its off of a GSXR.  Will this make a noticeable improvement?  and what would you guys say a good price would be???

Thanks

i would guess it depends on the springs it has in it. Have changed your springs yet or are you still running stock?

I've got progressive springs and they just don't cut it.  I've been told that my riding style is a little too aggressive for the  GS suspension.  I guess it could be from learning on my buddys Duc 998r,  but I pretty much treat my 3 mile trek from home to school like a race.  yeah, I know it's stupid but ya gotta have fun while you're young and it's a hell of a lot safer than drivin around a bomb laden sandbox getting shot at at not having authorization to engage.  And I know most of the cops in town.

well, if you get the new front end and want to let your progressives go for cheeeeeeeep (I'm a broke college kid), lemme know!

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

I'll let ya know if I get it I understand the broke college kid thing I'm right there with ya til this summer.   I almost got killed by a coca cola semi though and their legal department just wants me to go away right now so i'm figuring why not upgrade!!!!!!!!!!!

Upgradibg the rear isn't a big deal.  Ebay has SV  rear shocks all the time for 50-60.  As far as the spacers I don't know but when the mechanic changed the springs he changed the oil out too and said that my seals all looked good...... :dunno_white:  The only thing I can think of is what my mechanic said,  I'm just to aggressive for it, again I'm the jackass that just rips through traffic at like 80 and just barely stops in time for lights.   :cookoo:

Nope still here!!!!!! sorry ya'll!!!!!!  Sure makes the GS more fun!!!!! :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:  I love my new front end!!!  awesome stopping power, too!!!!!!!!  Not to mention it gives the GS a real streetfighter look!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alpha: don't worry about the buzz I got completely trashed. Thank god for Taxi's.  i hope my GS is OK behind that bar!!!!!!

Although the suspension may have something to do with your problems, realize that no suspension can or will compensate for poor riding technique.  Use the GS as a tool to learn how to ride a bike without upsetting the suspension, as this is the key to riding fast.  The fastest racers on the planet have one thing in common:  Smooth, progressive, and correct control inputs.

Once again, riding is mostly in the hands of the rider, not the equipment.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

The more i ride my GS the more I'm glad that I didn't start on something with way too much power!!!  I'd be dead if I did.  I'm learning every day on the GS, every day I hit the curves just a little faster, and I notice that everything goes a little smoother and I feel more comfortable!!!  Very happy I got the GS as a first bike and i'll keep her around, when i get something with more power, as my daily, she's a lot of fun in town and the mileage is awesome!!!  But, honestly the difference is very appreciable in both handling and braking!!!
