Idle hangin problems

The warmer my bike gets the more the idle hangs.  So if I ride it like 10 to 20 minutes, the idle hangs a lot above 2k rpm.  It basically acts like the choke is on.  I have added a k&n pod filter that replaces the air filter box, 40 pilots, 132.5 mains, 2 washers under the needle, and 2 1/4 turns out.  I checked my plugs and one looked rich one looked lean.  Both screws should be at the same setting right?  Any help would be great.  Thanks

why not just fiddle with your idle screw?  it's right under the seat kinda (you can find pictures on here somewhere).  just give it a couple turns clockwise to drop your idle.  the best bet is to get your bike warmed up first so it idles where it does, then turn it down to around 1.3 where it should be.  *warning: wear gloves when you do this, your engine gets hot.  :thumb:

Does the idle go back down if you rev it up alittle or use the clutch to put a load on the engine and then let it back out without revving?

If you didnt start fom 0 on both sides for the turns out on the mixture screw you might not be the same on both sides.

I did zero out both screws before setting them out.  The idles do go back down if I use the clutch to put a load on the engine.  I'm not sure if this is a lean condition or a rich condition, because it hangs which suggests lean, but it does the same thing when the choke is one which suggests rich.  I think I am going to just make my adjustments based on the plugs.

If the idle goes back to normal when you put a load on it and let the clutch back out its lean. I had the same thing while playing with the mixture screws and tried it at 0. I think your going to have to go up in jet size the mixture screws only have about 4 turns in them then they will fall out.

Too bad my new exhaust isnt here yet cause I'd give you my 140's to use but dunno when it will be getting here. Reminds me I need to go buy some 150's.
