I just done a gsx-r rear wheel conversion on me bike. Everything looks great but the wheel only spins around once before stopping if spun fairly hard.

The chain is on.

Axle not to tight.

becuase I didn't check prior to removing the stock stuff I'm not sure if their is a problem.

Thanks

Did you check the bearings of the old wheel?

It should spin more than once, but really depends on the chain condition..ect..ect

If you move the wheel by hand do you feel any major resistance?

How tight is the chain?  If its its too tight the tire won't spin freely, at least in my experience

check brake caliper alignment to the rotor-if the torque arm has it twisted slightly it will cause drag.

Val,
slide wheel forward
remove chain
slide wheel back
check free wheel ability

this isolates the wheel from the chain/engine drag

rear wheels usually don't spin much with a chain on them

That sounds about right, especially with an o-ring chain. If you are still concerned, do what Ken suggested to ease the wondering.
Common sense in not very common.
