can anyone give me a step by step guide to clean my 99 gs 500 e carbs

Follow the directions there. That is for a rejet, but the steps for removing the tank/airbox/carbs are the same. The steps for opening the carbs are the same. The difference is that once you have the carbs apart, you clean them (with carb cleaner, available at local autoparts store), then reassemble. Don't let the carb cleaner touch any plastic or rubber parts, as it eats them. Don't lose the little tiny o-rings, or the bike won't run without them.
