Ok so I was on my way back to work after a short lunch because my boss called while I was on lunch and a trouble user at one of our off site buildings was exploding and needed help.  No biggy, Supernate to the rescue.......  So I get tailed by a cop all the way ...... No biggie, happens all the time, college town and I must appear to be a college student or something.  Then a little cavalier goes past at about 4 mph faster than me and yanks the wheel merging onto my fender.  I intern go into evasive maneuvers of my own to avoid being hit and the car realizing what they have down doesn't go back into their own lane but punches it and speeds off down the road.  So I get back into my lane, speed back up to the legal limit and continue back to the spasaming lady I was on my way to help when I get the sex lights ...... WHAT?

So the normal things happen

officer : Do you know why I pulled you over.
me : honestly officer, I have no f%$king clue.  I mean didn't you see that bright red cavalier that passed you and nearly took the front of my truck off?
officer : Yes, but wasn't he passed you when he switched lanes and please sir don't use profanities.
me : I'm sorry officer but no it wasn't, do you think I would have done what I did if he was, I mean I would have been blind not to notice that you had been tailing me since the bowling alley, by the way isn't that profiling cause I have been being followed an awful lot in the past two weeks.
officer :Well your vehicle fits the profile of a vehicle that is suspected in a burglary ring.  If you don't mind me asking where did that computer that is in your passenger seat come from?
me :Great! I work for the university and that is were it is from.  [called my boss, boss talked to officer yay] If you don't mind me asking why did I get pulled over and not the jack hold that nearly totaled my truck?
Officer :I thought that you were driving erratically but now I see that it was not you, you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and doing a good job at not getting hit.
me : Thanks.

So after that we talked for a while and I calmed down.  I have been pulled over for more BS recently and now i know why, i look like a burglar SWEET!!!!!! I hope they actually get the real people so I stop getting followed all the freaking time..........

BAH HA HA HA HA HA!!!!  That totally rules! 

I used to get pulled over ALL THE TIME when I lived in Bellevue (nicer suburb of Seattle) and drove a total POS '69 VW Bug...

About 80% of the time went like this:

"Do you know why I pulled you over?"
"Uh...  Is my license plate light out again?"
"Yes it is... License, Registration, Insurance."
(Already in my hand)
"Here ya' go...  I can fix the license plate light right now... It's just a wire that keeps popping off."
"OK...  Go ahead."

I actually got pulled over once simply so the cop could make fun of me.  I had all my info in hand and all he did was glance at it...  Then he made some stupid joke about my "Old car coming off the wheels."

That totally sucks, natedawg. My son experiences the same thing: he gets pulled over a lot simply because he drives a top-10 stolen car in one of the popular colours. He used to get pulled over a lot more, but he parked the CRX.    Hope they catch the REAL thief soon. 

Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time!  You have the robbery vehicle and a computer that he thought was stolen. 

I've never been pulled over on a motorcycle, until I got the CBR.  Profiling!!

yup been there done  that nate .. i was in canton,nc with my mom she was visting her bf (now husband)  and i went to get me somthing to eat .. i was doing about ... 10 over . this little ride ford contor was following me .. hard .. and all on my rear end .. figured he was just using me as bait . big truck turned in to the turn lane and i stoped at the next light . took a right . at the next light i stoped . when it turned green i took of ... and i' be damned .. that blue and red light started flashing . i was like .. WTF  . its a cop!!! its unmarked !!!!  and there was nothing on it that you could tell it was even remotly a cop car . went kind of like this
after all the bs . him trying to tell me i ran that big truck off the road and stuff .. my (now stepdad)  is  a Firefighter and told me i had all the signs of the drug dealers that had been running threw there . speeding,dragon in the back widow,bonky on ( skull cap,tobogen) and i was like ... well .. thats not cool !!!

Whats even funnier is I got followed home on the way home from the bowling leagues tonight

Cops make me Nervous.I usually get followed up the road by the troopers.The First Convienient Place to turn Off I take it.Seems like it's always at the Beer Store though. I don't know whats Going on but there is a Really big Police Outbreak Here.I guess Mr. Clintons Cop on Every Corner finally Caught up with us.

i don't get bothered much by cops anymore, i blend in really well (i live in marin county and drive an old 5series bmw, i could stick out if i painted my car bright yellow and red and orange and pink.) but in the town 20 miles north my mom lives in, they have soooo many cops, and they have a crapload of different kinds of cars. they have dodge magnums, brand new crown vics (including ones that are all black, unmarked, regular license plate, cop is in a SUIT, not a uniform but a suit and they can still do traffic stops.) mustangs, dodge rams, f150's, it's ridiculous. not as bad as in HS though... somehow a 72 bmw with nothing but a resonator for exhaust drew a lot of attention from cops. especially the way i drove the poor beast. my dad said he could hear me getting on the freeway 3/4 of a mile away in the morning...

Well its not like mine is all raged or anything.  Its a blue 4x4 98 frontier.  Almost mint and the only dent is so small you can barely see it and its on the tail gate so I don't really even count it .  Thats it I'm installing an oil slick button......

Yeah I know but I live in the Sticks.We have 3 troopers.2-3 Years ago we only had 1.Right Now I hear stories just about every day that they Pull People over for No Reason.Last week they Pulled a friend of mine over when they walked up He asked them why they Blew Him Over that He wasn't Speeding.They said Oh your not the Person we're Looking for.My Friend asked them if it was OK for him to go then.The Trooper said No Since I already have you Pulled Over let me see your License and Registration. One Pulled up  in my Uncles Barn lot one day and Scared the shaZam! out of me.It's Kind of a Shock to be Grinding and Look up to have a Trooper Setting in the Car in front of you. :mad:He asked me some Questions About Someone that Drove an Old Black Chevy Pickup that Someone I knew use to Drive.He sold it to another Guy.When the Trooper Said that it was Doug "So and So" I tripped Him up and said oh you Mean Doug "Somebody Else".Yeah I couldn't remember His Name I used to go to School With Him.Well the Guy I know is a Whole lot Older than the Trooper and Know that He Didn't Go to School with Him.What he was really doing was Getting all of our Tag Numbers.Just a few Months later the Same Trooper Blew me over on a County road for No seatbelt.
Right Now its Looking like They are Out for Harrassment instead of Doing thier Jobs.

I moved to B.F.E. NC in 2000, for the first three or four years i got pulled about once a month. I drove a 87 Caprice Classic and a 78 Malibu wagon lowered and shaved.
I got pulled over for every bs thing in the the book.

The only consistentcy was I always got searched

I learned a long time ago to also be nice becuase they can do what ever thay want.
But this last time I got pissed. I still held my composior and nicly pissed him off.

The last time I got pulled I drove a 78 caprice 2dr arocoupe tint, lowered, I was getting my son some icecream pulling back onto the road an officer rolls by a few seconds later I pull out about a min. later Ii see the officer pulled in a gas station ready to pullout behind me he followed completely through town ( 5 miles) or so right before I get home he pulls me. He said I swerved over the white line. I had to ask if that was before or after he saw me and decided to follow me around.
He had nothing to say! all he could come up with is that he needed to search me so I said "no!!!"
he ran the hole if you don't have anything to hide. 
"So I said I did"
He asked what?
everything in my car! and told he it was not his business!
He had a very stupid look on his face "boy he just knew I had the load of the month"  :icon_rolleyes:I told him he could search the car but he was going to feel realy stupid.
buy that time three more cars come up they all get two of which had pulled me before, then the best thing I had ever had a cop do to me.
One of the other officers said thats val he's never had anything lets go.    then came over and told me to have a good night. 

Very nice of him. maybe he felt bad for the times he had pulled me for no reason! ethier way I've not had a Promblem sence then
