Brand new GS500 ordered. I take delivery a week on Wednesday. Can't wait (it will be nice to ride something with a little more grunt than my little Virago).

Any suggestions for immediate alterations (I hear the suspension isn't perfect)?

Progressive springs for the front.  Katana 600 rear shock.  Homemade ignition advancer from Bob Broussard.  15 Tooth front sprocket.  and for God's sakes, chop off that huge rear fender. :thumb:

Had to be the first, eh? :nana:

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Oh, yeah, a pair of real tires.  Bridgestone BT-45's in stock sizes work very well and are not too expensive.
