I live in old fort, which is the other side of asheville from sylva. I'm gonna try to do this by myself, but unless it looks better than what it does now I will probably be trying to get in touch with you crucial...you seem to be the closest. I'm hoping to atleast keep the polished look for this riding season and maybe when it turns cold again (hopefully not until sept.) I may then try to get them painted.  But if they are not going to look ok polished I will be letting you know. Again- Thank you guys for all of your help. I'm not very mechanically inclined and even more insecure about messing up my bike.  Its not much, but it's all i got.

Are the out side of the lips shinny?

They should shine up really nice but remember it's not chrome!

I used "Mothers" polish

I think they will be ok. I just tried to clean up the edges with a toothbrush and once i get the remainder of the paint and aircraft remover off I think it will be alright. It would help me out so much if I had the tires off the rims and the rims off the bike, but I don't have anyway to get them off. so, I'm working with what I have. I will try to get some of that polish tomorrow. where can i get it?

Heather you should be ableto get it at the Local Auto Parts or Wally world.

I had the same color bike....but I diidn't paint the rims...I got rid of the purple and went Ducati yellow.

I found a guy here locally that is willing to take my white/polished partly rims if I can find some black/silver painted one's. I found some on ebay, but I was wondering if any of you guys know someone close that has some black/silver rims sitting around that would like to get rid of them for a decent price.  Let me know please. This guy is willing to buy my white one's from me if I find some black/silver one's. Thanks.
