Got a F-16 Windscreen and at some point the left little mounting bracket fell off, anybody got an extra sitting around or a way to make my own?

Also in Falling off, it managed to scratch it a bit, I was told there is a trick to fixing this?  anybody got it?

I've heard that brass polish takes scratches out of clear plastic...  I've also seen plastic polish somewhere...

As far as the bracket... Hmm...  Depends on how ghetto you're willing to go...  I'd say swing by a hardware store with some imagination.

If they're just little scratches, a good plastic polish will take it right out...

if they're deep I (and a few others) have had good luck using a clear epoxy to fill, sanding, then plastic polish to remove them to the point where unless you know about it, you can't see it...

Hey bub,
Call National Cycle, the makers of the windscreen.
Their tollfree number is 877-972-9336.
They'll help you out with the replacement part if you ask nicely.
:)
Good luck,

Hi again darb,

One other polish to try -- I've read that toothpaste is often good to remove scratches.
Try it and see if it helps.
Best wishes,
