My style of life has me going on quite a few night time commutes, out here in Idaho there are lots of critters on the road at night, how many watts can the gs handle to throw out as far as lighting goes?

Also has anyone tried an HID kit for there GS, what are your thoughts?

I just did this combo with a friends Virago:

Not ideal...far from ideal, I should say.  It works good but durabillity I wouldn't bet on.  We'll see.  The lense also isn't anywhere near suited for HID duty and you only get low beam.

I Use philips #12459 100w/130w H4 rally bulb (UPS Code 8711500404459) and its great on those rural back road I ride in all the time in the evenings. They are not like other bulbs (where they say 60w of power producing 90w color on the road) these are Rally lights and output 100w on low beam and 130w on high beam... (grin) I see VERy well... and you can get them only in europe I get mine from http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ search for philips, and flip to page 2 of H34 bulbs, last item.. 23 Uk Sterling pounds/pair

Ill get some pictures done.... quite a difference..
