that's what this Carbon Fiber Wileyco is :thumb: :thumb:  Looks awesome on the ol GS :thumb: :thumb:  gotta run out and buy a tiny ass screwdriver for the pilots now :icon_rolleyes:  then just gotta put it all back in  :o :o :o  I can't wait to crank it up :icon_razz:

spc

OMG :o :o :o  No choke started right up once float bowls filled :o :o  Still have to get all the little adjustments right ( idle, throttle cable, etc......)  HOLY f%$k :o :o  I think I shaZam! myself when I revved it a little :o :o  The GS is not the same bike anymore :thumb: :thumb:  My neighbor came over because he thought I'd bought a chopper    Then I asked him if this sounded like a chopper and wound it up to about 9.5K :o   Loud begins to describe it but just barely :o :o

Yup I'm gonna be fiddling with it :icon_rolleyes:  It pops like hell when I snap the throttle shut and takes a minute to come back to idle.  The Wiki says it's lean the Suz Dealer says its rich :icon_confused: I say it's obnoxious   but it does respond WAY better :o :o :thumb: :thumb:

Deffinately sounds like a lean condition to me.  What jets are you fellas using?

WW, what are your thoughts on the full Jardine system?  I've yet to hear a review of the system from anyone who's opinion I trust.  I'd deffinately trust yours!

I've given occasional thought to a full system such as the Jardine.  I like the stainless header pipes, as I'm getting sick of painting mine, and I don't really like the black look.  I was just concerned about fit/finish, and since you are a perfectionist like myself, I figured you'd be a great source for an honest opinion.  Thanks! :thumb:  How does the can fit on to the rest of the exhaust?  Is it a slip-on or a flange style?

Thanks again for your opinion!

I googled "jardine gs500 exhaust" but found no useful pictures- one of them was my own bike. I could always take one if you're curious.

Nah, don't worry about it, I know the type well.  I just wondered if my Hindle can might bolt up to the system if it was a 3-bolt deal.

Thanks again!

Glad to hear it sounds good. Let me know when you get everything exactly right, so I know what settings to use on my bike. (Terry and I split a pair of gixxer wileycos on ebay)

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

It's not quite there yet but I'm at 3.75 turns out  And there's no hanging and just a little popping when I snap the throttle shut :thumb:  If I don't have it just right by monday afternoon I'm gonna take it to my local shop and have him get it down right :icon_confused:  If it gets that far I'll watch him and tell you what he did :thumb:

Pros:  Smoother acceleration all the way through the rpm range
Noticeably more get up and go :icon_twisted:
         Sounds mean as shaZam! :thumb:

Cons:  Loud as hell ( I come home in the middle of the night so this is a con for my neighbors )
Grabs LEO attention way more than stock :icon_confused:

I've got the Jardine system, and MrHyde has the V&H system. At idle, the V&H is louder, but when cruising or ham fisting the throttle, the Jardine is certianly louder. Though I am biased, I really like the sound the Jardine puts out: the note changes depending on what rpm you are in/going through. The V&H, on the other hand, just goes to a higher pitch.

Either which way, both exhuasts turn heads, especially when the two of us are riding together. The harmonic that the two pipes generate is nothing short of true ear candy.

When I came home I kept it under 4-5k and about half way just popped into neutral and shut it off :thumb:  The LEO at the inlet of my street almost crapped when he heard the difference  Of course that was about 5 PM and I let it run to about 9k

It looks as though you have the can mounted 120* off of where it should be? :dunno_white:

It looks good otherwise!

Yeah  Srinaths damn holes are drilled a little off :2guns: :2guns:  So I have the choice of straight up, turned out, or tire scorching    Thanks  So far I've had 3 people come up to me asking about it when I pull into parking lots in the last day :thumb: :thumb:
