Actually, electrical was one of the things that I suggested would cause such a problem.  I just told him what *I'd* start with when I said carbs and valves.  Of course, that's after verifying that I have spark, which according to his first post, he had done.

Or in other words, it could be many, many things.  Further diagnostic work is required to narrow down the possibilities.

I would want to know baseline info on the bike
(that bolt will break in a spill....been there...done that)
compression
spark
fuel

with all the ideots that touch the carbs.....it's just easier to do fuel before spark
also a turd engine is a turd engine.....if compression is way off  the carbs won't sync for sh!t
