So my tire was pretty bald and I don't think it was safe to ride. I would not be able to resist riding it as long as the tire held air so we burned it off today. Here is my album link with some nice burnout videos and a video of the tire after we burned it off.

Meh it was ok, not great, but ok. It was getting a bit hard to see what was happening because of all the smoke.

The dumbass I end up doing bike stuff for wanted to do that to his old tires which were on wheels I was taking back in exchange for the tars I was putting on his.
I didn;t let him ... cos I need it to make a roller out of the frame ... even though I intend to use the B4 wheel in reality to ride it.
Cool.

yes I live like 10minutes from New Philidelphia, Ohio ... If you don't know where that is then I'm about 25-30minutes from Canton, Ohio... Well I got to Canton and back in 30mins once :D doing about 100mph the whole way. Anyway if your near then we should meet up one day when I get a new tire lol.

Lord knows I've helped friends fry tires in parking lots until they pop.  Its totaly safe... :icon_rolleyes:  I'm surprised the tail of the bike didn't get ripped off by the shredded tire.

There's something savagely fun about finishing off a killed rear tire. :icon_twisted:

As you can see in the video of us showing the shredded tire we got a good laugh out of it. The tire wasn't safe to ride on and as long as it held air I would have been riding it so we burned it off. Video 2 I was too worried about the burnie as you can tell cause I had the tach pegged at 12.5krpm and didn't notice. I feel bad for my poor engine now :( after that though I wasn't so worried about the burnie and kept rpm's at like 9k

Turd Ferguson

Is it air cooled?  I would have felt bad for it because you were revving it up without any air supply to cool it down.

Yes, all gs' are air cooled. It didn't feel any warmer than normal though. Anyone ever try using a space saver tire on a mororcycle as a temp fix until new one arrives?

Mk1inCali

Don't do it, that's just asking for problems.

Save up the $75 bucks for a new bias ply tire and at least be half-way safe about it.  To do any less would be idiotic.
