Hey again folks.
Before I start off, I have searched for quite a while for the answer to my question, but I can't seem to find it.

My problem is that I have problems figureing out the hose routing for the grey hoses to the carbs. Where do they all attatch?

I found Kerrys (I think his name was) diagram for the old bikes, but I have a 2005 GS500F, and the carbs arn't the same.

I would really be glad if someone had some real world pics or something like that.

Sorry if this is a re-post.

SOrry for the n00b question.
Thanks alot.  :)

Saw your post and though someone would answer by now, I know I've seen some good pics of the carbs and hoses on the F model posted on this forum, a quick search didn't turn them up.  Will take another look.

Here is a link to the Bell suzuki site.  You can click on the exploded view of the carbs and that might help you, as for actual pictures I can't seem to find any.  I know that the hose routing isn't that much different than the E models, but it is a little.  Hope this helps a little,

Nate

I have just come back from my bike, and I tried to connect everything, but it didn't start.
So something isn't connected right.

But thanks for your help for far.  :icon_mrgreen:

Yeah, I got it started, bearly. But the moment I have it some gas it cut out and wouldn't start again. :dunno_white:
So the battery got drained and I'm recharginh it now.

Chris18

Yeah, it's still cuts out when I give it some throttle, and it doesn't really want to start.  :dunno_white:

Probably the most common error at this point is not turning the tank-mounted petcock back on.

The next most common is probably the smaller (vacuum) line running from the frame petcock- I think on yours it connects to a "T" with some similar-sized (vacuum) hoses... though it should still run if you put it on "Prime" to fill the carb bowls.

If you havn't check already check ^ that and also check to make sure it is all the way open.  I have forgotten to turn the undertank petcock back on once, made it a little ways down the road and out of gas, figured it out pretty quick followed by a feeling of retardation.  Just let us know.

Yeah it is on, I turned it on the first time.

It just keeps coughing, and then it runs for about 2 seconds and then it cuts out again. And if I give it some gas it cuts out right away.

What could it be?

did you hook up the fuel lines right?  Maybe you have the ON and RES lines switched?
