Muuuahaaha. It's been sitting in the garage for a month. Somehow I managed to fight the urge to ride before our MSF course, which was today. After spending all morning tooling around on a Yamaha TW200 (hated it BTW, seat was really painful and throttle was really jerky, but it braked well) I figured we'd take the GS for a spin. Gotta say, waaay better than the 250's in the class. They almost seemed like 3/4 scale bikes. The throttle response on the GS is much smoother and overall much more fun to ride :) My wife and I tooled around our subdivision, having a good time hitting whopping speeds of 25 mph. Nice and smooth, other than a few reminders to myself not to look at the curb when turning...

I think my wife is hooked too. The GS is a good fit for her, the 250's were a little small for her taste and she had a lot more fun riding our bike. I came back from my turn and found her inside looking up leather riding pants... Yeah, something tells me we're going to need to add another bike to the stable soon... I don't plan on moving up from the GS for a while though, maybe we need to find another GS :)

 Cool man, the wife rides!

I was really surprised how much my wife enjoys a short trip to Ybor City for a beer and a burger. All I have to do is pull her helmet out of it's bag, and she's grabbing gear and putting on a pink bandana. Smiles, nothing but smiles.

It's a nice break from a hectic week, and she seems to treasure every single time we go play.

Congrats on the MSF, and the GS!

My gf loves mine.  It doesnt look intimidating and handles well....plus when she drops it (and i know she will)  no damage to the fairings.

Yeah, I like the naked look :)

Today I got out onto a somewhat less busy state route and got up to 55. Interesting sensations without a fairing, but nice and breezy at least... I like the 1/4 - 1/2 fairing look too though, I'm not a fan of full fairings. I'm pretty sure at this point the next bike will be a 650 so I'll have to decide between the SV650, SV650S, Ninja 650r and V-Strom 650. Given the way my wife is getting into biking I'm guessing I'll have to procure another bike by next spring :)
