Hello to all the regulars and irregulars here in gstwinsville!

Super-noob deluxe here - happy to find such a rollicking good forum for gs500 folk - while i was searching webland for info on mods I happened upon your happy home here and was really quite taken by the nature of the community - sounds like a great place with lots of experience being shared.

I'm essentially a new rider in Los Angeles - I've had my M1 for about 6 years but haven't done much riding at all.  When i got my license back in 2001, I borrowed a friends nighthawk 750 for about a month - got busy traveling for work and just didn't really ride much after that - was off the scoot for way too long and finally couldn't take it any longer.  Started looking for the right "starter" bike and found myself a perfectly maintained blue 2004 with a V&H exhaust mod and I've giddily put about 400 miles on it in about 12 minutes.  Okay, 12 days, but it sure feels like minutes.  I"m amazed at how much fun this bike is -

I'm suffering from a serious case of perma-grin . . .
