Anyone want to help build Fenrir?

i mean it's such a badass...who wouldn't want one?  I've been trying to find some tech drawings or something of her but can't do very well.  Most I've figured out thus far is that she's powered by a monstrous opposed twin, air cooled motor and that she's centrally suspended.  That and she has to be a heavy Buddha Loves You.  Steering has me completely baffled.  I'm also really curious about the "whine" she has...it's turbine noise but not turbine powered...maybe turbocharged?

...anyway...anyone else think it'd be a kickass project?

Would rather do Kaneda's motorcycle :thumb:

Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

similar...but that's not Fenrir.

that's a crappy pic but it's all I could handle with my dial up setup...

Keneda's bike never appealed to me.  Tetsuo's bike is pimp...I think that's the one but I can't be sure.  You can't find shaZam! on any of the other character's bikes...

Since there are two front tires, perhaps steering is done by slowing one down, allowing the other one to rotate around that point? I have no idea, honestly...

The more i look at it the more I think the steering is done through the swingarm...you can see the "bars" go down toward the arms.  Pull one arm back and the wheels adjust on a verticle axis.

I'd also like to build Kadaj's bike.  That one looks like even more a monster...

I'm completely out of this cultural loop, have no idea what I'm really looking at.

Paulini, mcCaffrey, Feist, tolkein, Lewis, Wells, Orwell...just a few authors who wrote books "without pictures".  I've personally never read anything "manga" or anime...I watch the flicks but reading them is lame.

The character in question here is Cloud Strife...a character from the final fantasy series (final fantasy XII and Advent Children mostly).  The giant sword is called a "buster sword"...I think it's a bit cartoonish myself but oh well.  It's another planet and world...who's to say the thing's not made of super light unobtanium?  I've never seen him with "one arm", though...maybe his predecessor?  It's been so long since I played FFXII that I don't remember.

Check this out...it's divx Advent Children...there's a lot of Fenrir and the other bikes in it.  I absolutely love the way they did the wheelie scene at 1:09:10 ~ ish.

Wrecent...that link gets you a flick about a million times better than Ghost in the Shell.  Ghost in the Shell was a horrible depiction of the story.  It wasn't a bad flick, but it was far from great.  It's a shame to dismiss an entire genre because that one flick wasn't very impressive.

Ghost in the shell was good but Akira is the all time anime cult classic

Books I read.  I'm sure there's a few other authors out there that do the whole "no pictures" thing.  And yeah...strife just has the one sleeve in Advent Children (hides the signs of a serious illness).

I know what you mean about anime.  The problem is that most of it is too chibe-esque.  Even Akira, which I also believe to be the "Godfather" of Anime, got a bit too carried away with things like facial expressions and what not.  Akira, though, kept bound by realistic rules (you get hit by a lazer, parts of you fall off).  To me, if a character can throw fireballs without explanation, I'm not that interested.

90% of animated manga is the same way...goofy expressions, no common "laws" (gravity, susceptibility to bullets, etc), and pointless plot.  Dragon Ball comes to mind to perfectly illustrate what I mean.  The few exceptions I can think of are Battle Angel, Blood, Ghost in the Shell, and Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X...movies only, series is no exception at all).

I personally prefer stuff that isn't based on manga, but I do enjoy it all.  My favorite stuff is usually based on games...Final Fantasy stuff, especially Advent Children and Last Order, for example...and anyhting done by Miyazaki.  Then the old school anime really gets me...I love anything robotech.  Gundam stuff is cool but it gets old (Death Scythe slays 4,000,000 other Gundams while Duo barely pays attention...).  Akira isn't my favorite but it set the standard by which I judge all others.  Akira had a good story and amazing art for the day...plus a lot of the scenes were extremely creative for what they could do at the time.  It truely is the Godfather of anime...it's not necessarily a good movie, but neither was the Godfather.

Would be a cool project if you can pull it off. Good luck with it. :thumb: Oh and btw Mak it's FF VII.
