Yeah, was running errands at lunch and some old fart turned left like 10 feet in front of me... I emergency braked and so did he... he stopped mid turn right in my line and stared at me for a few seconds... Then gunned it... He probably thought I was going to walk over there and kill him with the look I was giving ... Anyway, I'm fine ... and I was sure to give my baby GS a big hug after I got back to work.

I friggen hate when people do that...

Yeah he never saw you untill he was in the road, happens all the time.  It happens enough to me that when I am on four lane roads I have the lane beside me to escape into.  Gotta love how people find it hard to see bikers, or when they do pull out in front of you get pissed at you.....

haha ...  funny vertigo

I find it odd that any time someone messes up while driving, the immediate instinct is to gun it... Almost hit a biker, gun it... Ride the curb while looking at hot chicks & one of them notices, gun it.... Do anything stupid in a cage, gun it... haha

Meh... what can ya do...

gun it!

Cheers,
Jeff

when i took my safety course my instructor told us that if you become a good rider on your bike, it will make you a more attentive driver in your cage. he was also of the opinion that in order to get your cage liscense you take an MSF course as well even if your not gonna ride, just to get the info. now, i'm not saying all bike riders are better than cagers and i'm not saying all cagers are morons so don't get that impression. i've seen morons everywhere in and on all sorst of vehicles.

Was his turn signal on ?
Seatbelt ?
Cellphone involved ?

Just wondering. Good to hear you're safe and sound.
