Ok, ive had some plans for awhile now.. of fixing up the gs this winter.. paint etc..

BUT, i really want a gixxer6.. or R6 next year.. so things may change. I dont wanna sell my bike after all 'we've' been through though, so i have an idea...

Im thinking about turning her into a stunt bike!! only thinking, so dont knock the idea out completely..

Id put a huge rear sprocket on.. and maybe a slightly smaller front.. etc..

I really like watching it, and id love to learn how.. but on a new bike it would be stupid! Enter the gs... perfect! Light, nimble, with the right gearing it could be wheelie material!

Of course this wont be on public streets etc.. im not a squid..

Id want to learn on private property.. aka a friends lot etc.. but itd be cool to maybe make some vids and get a crew together..

any input?

I cant get my gs to wheelie without clutching it up... so I bought an R6 and it works fine haha... but i understand about not wanting to mess it up.  I laid mine down doing a stoppie and it knocked a lil respect into me.  Im just happy I was there for it to land on so it dint get scratched or anything.  But yeah Id use mine as a stunta if i could actually get it to stunt.

Rash, if you dont mind beating the shinola out of the GS, then go for it,  stock up on handlebars,levers,master cyl, for get about body work and the gastank, heh the gas tank will only hold about 3.5 gal once worn in. your gonna be doing LOTS of oil changes as the air cooled engine boils the oil from no air flow, no 20 mph doesnt do it(water cooled works better it has fans) make sure you have good case savers on the sides. Non folding pegs with beefed up frame work would help alot. and a shorty exhaust system. lets not forget lots of clutch plates,brake pads,and fork seals.  but yes its fun, i wheelie alittle here and there,, and a few rolling endo's here and there, was getting good till i put on this very crappy tire, @ 20 mph if i snatch the fron brake it will slide.

lol.. wow, this is gonna be a project..

How do you feel about stitches, plaster casts, and high insurance premiums?

Need something to do with your time..??..volunteer at a rehab clinic for a while, then decide if you really want to do this.

I saw a guy when I was in California last month... Indian dude with a few missing toes... He blamed his bike.. an EX500 and wanted to not get a bad bike... so he was looking at a GS, $1700 used GS from a wrecking yard....
BTW lemme tell you a bit about Indians (especially the ones that come to US) Mostly software geeks (self included...) And its not a 100% generalisation... there are some exceptions.. but this dude wasn't an exception...  and they do it to impress chicks... and they never learn how to do it right, how to understand the bike and know what its capacities and limits are, and never learn fully the laws of physics... if you are going to run hard plastic tires... you have to ride like an old man like me. So anyway... learn how to do it right, learn how the laws of physics are doing when you are stunting, and make sure you learn from your and other mistakes. And dont blame the bike, and dont do it to impress chicks... They usually dont care if they are over 15... women mature fast and the truth is... they dont care much one way or another...

I wanna learn how to stunt, on PRIVATE PROPERTY.. hmm guess i wont be needing insurance as i can get pretty much any part for this bike IF i break it, for dirt cheap AND ill have a new bike as a daily (NON-STUNTING) rider...

yeah sure i say stunt it. but please be careful. im all for it. if i was 20 or over had my own place and had my gs and something else i would. so i support your idea.  

Rashad is plenty intelligent..thing is, he's plenty vengeful too. You see, he's secretly on a mission to exact revenge on his GS for all the emotional trauma it caused him a while back. Come on admit it..we all know that's the REAL reason you want to take up stunting.  

I think it's a cool idea, wish I could have a play bike too. Just be safe, and give us tips when you learn new tricks.  

Have fun, and don't be too hard on her....I'm sure it wasn't personal.

Anyhow John, thats not what i want..lol.. im not talking stunting like 60mph wheelies.. i mean like slow stuff.. endoes, wheelies, and basically circles... doing cool stuff in a parking lot or something.. nothing really serious.. maybe i sent the wrong idea out...

Trade your GS for a good dirt bike and practice on dirt , dirts alittle softer and dirt bikes are easier to repair.
