i tried searcing but didnt find it what year was the first gs to run a 6 speed gearbox ?

They've always had 6 gears. (Our beloved GS500 any how)

I want to say GS400. I have seen a 300 with a 5 I think.

Good thing that it is not like a Harley...they just got a 6 speed tranny this year!  :laugh:

1976

First 4 cycle Suzuki models were the 76 GS400 and GS750 bikes.  The GS400 was a 6 speed.
