my bars look like crap and i wanna replace them but am unsure of size,  would like some with screwins at end...suggestions ?

The clip on bars? you want to replace the whole setup or just new ends?

They're 7/8". Just get some cut for you at home depot or the like.

7/8" hayabusa bars worked on my 89.  They have the grooves cut right for the mirror screws etc. and have screw-in ends.

The problem with just cutting some 7/8" bars is that the stock bars have a hole drilled for the brake/mirror assembly to fit into and a slot for another screw to go into and hold the handlebar in position.  Also he wants threads on the end, so unless you have the machining skills to make these threads and the groove and hole, you're better off buying a set.  I got the Hayabusa bars on ebay for under $20, and they are a direct replacement.  They are actually solid aluminum, not hollow steel.

I use a drill to drill the hole and a dremel could slot it, even though I would have to see this slot to be sure.  As for the bar end weights unless you can get a good deal on prefabbed clipon bars it would probably be cheaper to buy new ones, the rubber gromet kind.

i was emailing back an forth with a guy on ebay selling busa bars and he said his had only one groove? Is there a certain year w/ two grooves? And 40-50 bucks seems to be the going price..seems like a rich mans fantasy
