You probally could do it but it'd be such a pain in the ass and it'd be expensive.

It'd be much cheaper and less of a pain in the ass just to sell your bike and buy a faster one.

Anything can be done with enough time and monney though.  :thumb:

Mostly i want to drop a bigger engine in so that i'll know how - a buddy of mine is a mechanic and will help me do it i'm just wondering if im gonna have to do any cutting or welding to make it fit or mount

its as much about learning about the bike as putting in a bigger engine

I would imagine you would be better off trying a big single motor or another inline twin like a TRX motor or god forbid a triumph motor. Or better still just pull apart your GS and put it back together that will teach you all you need to know and save a lot of money (unless you have trouble putting it back together).
Also no real point in putting a bigger motor into a GS until you beef up the suspension and brakes. :thumb:
