Please don't hate me, It's a 94 ex 500. Got it dirt cheap and in great shape, only needs a paint job. Is there anything I should know about this bike? Things to look out for.  We got the bike for my brothers to share untill we sell it.

I still like the GS a lot better :thumb: I think the GS handles better.

other than that, they seem to be fairly stout bikes like the GS, except it has two possible causes of death instead of one: no oil or no coolant.  Thats all I know about em

I'd say join a EX forum and ask there,  they would know more about it than we will.

Things to look out for: rusting at the base of the verticle coolant tubes coming out of the head, inboard of the sparkplugs.  You'll have to drain the coolant and pull them to get a good look at them.  Grease the o-rings whenever you install them.  Go buy an extra pair to have on hand, just in case.
