Hi, new the the forum... etc.

anyway, the bike i bought had installed lowering links on the back. do i need stock lowering links, or can i just unbolt the current links, remove them, and get on with life?

Welcome!

You will either need to contact the former owner for the stock dogbones, or order new ones.

But, before you do one of those, does the lowing link that you have have multiple holes?

You will actually need to replace them.

Either with stock ones, or if the ones you currently have have holes that are closer together, unbolt them and bolt them closer together.

no unfortunately it does not. they only have one set of holes drilled in them at the longest length. could i drill holes in them at a shortler length? or would i need longer links.

I work in a metal shop so fab-ing something up out of the old ones would be easy.

Stock dogbones are 180mm center to center of the mounting holes.

Easy to fabricate or I have plenty if you are feeling lazing.

I been thinking of adding lowering links,so I can touch the ground flat footed.Anyone got a set cheap.

I have stock dogbones with a kat shock (raises the rear by about 1/4" or so).. I am nowhere near flatfoot.. I just ride with one foot on the rear brake and one foot down at stoplights.. one foot is all you really need. Backing it up is the only time I run into problems..

Yep.I do alot of that.Going in and out of my building.
