A couple weeks ago I installed the Progressive fork springs following Pablo's guide and the instructions that came with them.  I cut the included PVC spacer pipe to 3/4" and installed them spring, then washer, then spacer.  When I ride over semi-rough streets I get a pretty noticeable rattle from the front end now, and because it just started I figure it has something to do with the springs.  I noticed on Pablo's site and posts here nobody mentions the washers that go between the springs and spacer, did you just leave them out or is it just assumed they're in place?

Pantyablo,inquiring minds want to know.I thought about this.I think they should go back in,in the same position they came out.My progressives came with generic destructions. 

Well I took the washers out this morning and it seems to have taken care of the rattle.  Now that that's gone, I can hear a quieter squeak.  It never ends. 

When I done mine last night I put the washer,which is a spring seat,back in and placed my new spacer on top,and reinstalled my fork cap.

Have you had any rattling yet?  I figured it shouldn't happen because of the pressure the springs exert on the washer and spacer should be enough to keep things nice and tight, but that wasn't the case on my bike.  I don't think I should have any problems without the washers in, the walls of stock spacers don't even have 1/4 the width of those on the PVC pipe and they didn't need anything in between to help seat them.

So far every thing is quite,but I haven't had a chance to really give it hell.I rebuilt my brakes and have to take it easy for a while.If you upgrade to HH pads do yourself a favor and get the stainless lines from old bike barn.Both cost $110 delivered.My stock lines make my new brakes feel softer than the stock brakes.I can grab the lines pull the brake lever and feel the lines swell.Scary!
