I have in the past been able to put them on wrong. Get one tab lined up, then put incrooked, then turn it and shove the other in and its in.
You'll have lots of trouble getting it out, may break it going in ... and it will be wrong color.
So at your own risk.
Cool.

you should charge what ever is fair plus shipping...you are not running a charity.  besides if it is free people will order them just because they are free.  i'll buy a set to keep around for the just in case factor.

personally speaking as a business person i think we should have our own drop ship parts dept for the gstwin.com.  we could keep ourselves in parts and make a little cash.

Ok, let me hasten to say...

I volunteered to buy the acrylic and handle the shipping/distribution for 50 or so lenses for the "turning" effort.

Please note who it was that suggested the "GSTwins drop ship parts dept", and that it was NOT me..   ;)

We had one effort underway to try to turn them from rod, and one to cast them. It's been awfully quiet, so I'm guessing that there have been some problems.

I'm all in favor of free enterprise, and paying for value received. I don't need to make any money off my part in this (which might be over now), but those who are doing fabrication may, and I'm certainly willing to pay for my set. I WAS in favor of donations to the board, but that doesn't seem a very popular idea... and then some rather heavy-handed censorship became evident... mumble...

My casting is on hold because of work stuff taking priority on the machines.  I'll post when I have results.

Since this has been revived.I found some at an industrial supplier that may work. They are very close to being just like the GS lights.I'll have to see if they are the same diameter as the gauge bracket's holes.

I would be very interested in these as I would like to convert all to LED with clear lenses.  Looks like the original contributor was banned however?   :dunno_white:
