Yup, Last week I rode to Kingston, Ontario from Mopncton, New Brunswick in a straight run and back 5 days latter.  It was 1400 Kms one way.

I was sore but man it feels good to have accomplished it.

Any good stories from the trip?  How long did it take you?

Congratulations, you really earned you saddle sore license plate holder.  I did my first ss a couple years ago.  I left Little Rock at 5:30am and pulled into Rapid City just after midnight with 1093 miles.  I have to admit I had an easier time than you, as I was on my BMW at the time ;).  It might take quite a bit of time for you to receive you stuff from IBA.  They normally take a few months, but from what I've heard they are even more backed up now.

Cool sounds like it makes for a good ride.

A friend and I are thinking of taking a ride from Yarmouth, NS to Miramichi in August to visit some other bikers ... that's like 500KM by way of Digby ferry. SOMEONE should organize an east coast ride I think.

on july 7th i'm riding 200 miles from my house to my brothers up by chicago.  then on the 13th or 14th i am coming home.  can't decide whether to take 2 lane or the interstate. make for an interesting ride doing it solo.  the closest i've ever come was about 2 weeks after i started riding me and a few guys from work went out and rode about 90 miles

I thought the iron butt thing came from those harley types who went cross country without any padding on their seats...

Welll, it took me about 14 hours or so.  I did have to stop a  bit towards the end for more than just gas.  My ass was just killing me but its a cool accomplishment.

500 KMs will be easy.  I was perfectly fine till about 800 kms rolled by then I started to feel it a bit and once I hit 1200 KMs I just wanted off of the saddle. :icon_lol:

I get that after about 4-5 hours (even with breaks). Since I ride mostly back roads, it really doesn't relate to distance nearly as much as time. I have to decide whether to put the money into a seat, or a new bike. Sigh.

It is that, and one that I frankly envy.
