Not sure I can make it.
In a little over a week, I'm getting a motorcycle again.
Not just ANY motorcycle but a GS500 which I learned to love.

Reading all the forums is just KILLING me.
I joined Georgiasportbike.com forums too and they are like people over here, just really nice and helpful.
I was nervous because thought with the name it would be a bunch of people on superbikes doing wheelies or something and well, I'm just a n00b.
(I also have NO intention of EVER doing ANYTHING like that. Seriously.)

This weekend, I'm going to Cycle World and possibly get some new boots.
I'm also looking into new gloves.
Already have a good lead on some pants that go over your pants and have very good protection.

Of course, I'm nervous at the same time.
I watch ever crash video I can find.
Most of them are of people doing REALLY stupid stuff but there are some where the bike just didn't have a chance.
I call those my "wake up" call.

I plan on taking the MSF at the Honda School to get my license AND to get some good training and knowledge. (Knowledge is POWER.)
I already even have some offers from local people to ride when I get my bike.

I apologize for being just another guy getting another bike with another post of excitement.
I'm a normally hyper person to begin with and this event isn't helping matters at ALL.
I consider this good karma for things that I've done recently.
All of it has culminated in allowing me to get another motorcycle.

I sold my mountain bike and one of my pistols to get here.
(Hopefully sell my guitar soon too.)
I think it's all worth it.
My buddy in Florida is already yammering at me to get down there and ride with him.
He says I'll be the token "quick bike" since his whole group is Harleys and cruisers in general.
(I promised him that one day I'll probably own a Suzuki M50. I think they're really nice.)

Anyway, coffee is kicking in here at work.
I just wanted to gush more about my upcoming bike.
It's not new but it looks DAMN good.
I'm told that I couldn't have picked a better bike from a better person.
This is what she looks like....(the bike that is)

Indeed.
I still have my good Joe Rocket Pascal Picotte jacket. (I love that thing.)
My HJC helmet is practically still new too. (May replace it for a better ventilated model though.)
My weak point is gloves and boots.
I never had "good" gloves or "good" boots.
I'm gonna fix that.  =)

The Buddha

That pic is non B4, or Before B4 ...  :icon_mrgreen: But with B4 is what he's getting.
Mayoke - I got some gloves I have never used - 2-3 in fact. I can bring you (large to medium only though) ??? Helmet fit is vital, gloves are less fit specific. Some manufacturers are a shade small, some are a bit large, but I've never seen a Icon Hand or an AGV wrist yet ... so you're prolly better off trying mine on ... cant beat the $$$ (free with purchase of bike :thumb:) ...
Cool.

Grats on the bike, once you get it we'll definatly have to go riding  :thumb:.  The MSF course in Alpharetta is great the instuctors made it fun and exciting to learn everything.

Pilot 22.5, Mid 65 , Mains 147.5, Mixture screw 3.5 turns out

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

Cool!
Yeah, my helmet is awesome! Like I said, it's still pretty much brand new. It's a HJC and a little "noisy" but a good helmet nonetheless.
I'll check those gloves when you bring them.
I'm sure they'll go GREAT with my bright orange Pascal Picotte jacket.  LOL!
I'm gonna look like a clown with all the colors. Wait....I'm already a clown so I guess that fits.  Heh.

Hmmmm.
I'll check out the Alpharetta school.
I work in Alpharetta so that might not be a bad location.
Thanks!
