I have reported this before, and I'm not the only one having this problem, so MODS please look into it!

I can't reply to a post that "bettingpython" has posted in, including the one earlier today describing this problem.  It's been going on since late May and it's freaking annoying.

There is another version of SMF out that says that they fixed some bugs.  Perhaps that would help, TGG?

I've tried quoting, not quoting, you name it.  Same problem.

Of course, it just worked without quoting... go figure.

In my next post, I'll quote BP -- if you don't see another post, you'll know I was DENIED access.

I'm getting closer to finding out the problem with this issue.   If I quote lengthy text from bettingpython, I get the Access Denied message (forbidden, etc).  However, if I paste the text into Word, then copy and paste back into the forum in the browser, it goes through (if I strip the number codes).

It appears that something with line length or weird invisible characters (although I see none of those in Word with formatting visible) is causing at least part of this problem.

BP, what computer system, browser, and OS are you using?   I can't have a good argument if I can't QUOTE you!

I've tried cutting out the reference code for the specific post and that fixed it, but a minute ago when I tried to post in trumpet's other thread I got a 404 forbidden and didn't quote anyone. I'm lost, lets see if this one works.

Windows XP SP2, intel processor. During the Day I.E. 6 is the browser on my work PC, at home my laptop runs I.E. 7

Ocassionally when in my home office I might post from my home desktop it's a Dual core AMD system running Vista Ultimate and I.E. 7

Nothing fancy in my PC gear the only thing I have weird computer related is my AS/400 at home.
