It was a beautiful day for a ride, and it was a wonderful ride. It was nice to meet WildBlue , and it was terrific to see scratch , Bob Broussard , sanjay , and Ceek  again. There were 6 of us on the ride, but a LOT of bikes out on the road today. Here are some pics (WildBlue took some, too, and hopefully he'll post 'em up later...except the ones of me  ).

Yes, it was a perfect day for riding, and...yes, my bike was shiny side up for once.....      

It's scratch's pep talks....he instills confidence!

Hi all,
I was thinking of Rich all day yesterday.
Instead of riding, I worked on my GS500 in my backyard, finally removing my old circa-1983 Tracy quarter fairing and replacing it with a new National Cycle F-15 tinted windscreen, installing  SV 650 mirrors, a set of German handlebar risers and replacing my balky old tach cable.
It was nice to work on the bike and relax on a sunny, gorgeous Sunday, while thinking of our friend Rich, whom I never met in real life.
I'm glad you all had a nice ride in his honor.

I did slightly over hundred miles on my GS500 this weekend as well.  Dedicated the tree-shaded twisties to Rich.

Geez, you guys are like photo nazis.  "Don't photograph this... don't photograph that...".  I warn you, my camera does have a 12X zoom, so next time I'm taking EXTREME closeups of you and Ceek.
