mp183-great update. nice to know I'm not the only one that believes in breaking in engines hard. Too bad I didnt have the chance to do it to my 01 gs. I'm loving it too, but many things have changed in the 6,000 miles I've put on the bike... :o

John-saw you today getting off 405 around 1:10 heading south. I was heading north to jobsite in Santa Clarita in my cage...grrr. Also spotted another 02 heading south when I was in traffic southbound. Black with red textile jacket. Wonder if its anyone on this board. I've seen 5 gs's this week locally!

I need another new rear tire too :) but I'm gonna wait till I get the gsxr rear on.

I was in your neck of the woods miday, today.
Later, I got to ride Topanga Canyon, from Woodland Hills to PCH.

Oh yeah, one more thing.  I used Quaker State oil most of the time.  Lately I began using Castrol GTX.  I used Castrol for years in my other bikes and so did my friends and no one ever had a problem.  I think we are all a little picky and paranoid.  We have too many choices and too much time on our hands.  This bike has a good reputation and is considered bullet proof in many parts of the world.  You ain't going to kill it by over reving the engine or using the wrong brand of oil.  The only way you are going to kill it is by not using it and letting it rust under a cover or in your garage.    :thumb:
By the way.  The best time to ride is now.   Soon I'll have all my favorite roads to myself.

I thought of you last week when I sent some stuff by messenger to my Geotechnical consultant...he works and lives in the house on the corner of Mulholland and Stunt Rd!

I know another guy thats a messenger and he logs 40,000 miles a year working...if you guys get paid by the mile thats a little better but he has to hustle.

Yea, we make more money the longer the run and you have to hustle just to make enough to pay for all the expenses. I have yet to take a real lunch break. I usually eat a sandwich after I park and I am walking or in the elevator.
Yesterday, I transported 30 grand in cash :o The day before that, I was running a toolbox of something full of medical stuff with poison stickers all over it. It was very heavy and felt like it was full of weights. I really wanted to sneak a peak but I didn't.
I now know where all the celebraties go when they are sick or need more plastic surgery. The hospital elevators all have plaqes that say "confidense and discression are our priority" Maybe, I should try poperazzi work
I am getting good at avoiding pay parking.

boy i better start putting some miles on. I  just crossed 9K on mine today. I did about 600+ miles this week (atleast).... cant wait to hit the magical 10000 miles.

I need to get a new tyre too, my stocker is getting thin.. now that I am at 9100, i think i can hit 10000 before I change the tyres out. 900 miles shouldnt take too long eh?
