I'm thinking of getting these. Opinions?

I have them.  They are hot (not nearly as well ventilated as the Alter Ego jacket) and the stitching has needed repair.  I forgive them for the knee (I went down in a u-turn that went wide when I first started riding) but the crotch/zipper stitching coming unraveled is ridiculous. 

I've heard a lot of negative things about quality with Joe Rocket

are you going snowboarding?  . jk but they do look like they would be really hot.
