The fact that you asked this question on only your 14th post tells us without your having to admit it that you are a complete novice.

It always boggles my mind when someone buys a motorcycle and before they even have time to learn it and master it and really ride it, they want to make it faster or louder.
Both contradict the the idea that they just bought a motorcycle and are learning.
Enough said.

And agen , i have to rate the Nexxus , very very good , i think it sounds better than the Us ones , and it does feel like i have alot more power , *obvously not to much* . and a really really good exhaust note . and the shiny Stainless Muffler and Downpipes look good  ,

if u need any help with stuff Just Pm , im here to help , and the nexxus kit is bolt on , remove the old exhaust . put the downpipes on. then the can comes on there and its bolted to the old place , nexxus make excellent exhaust , i think there one of the uk biggest and best exhaust makers  :thumb:

Drill 5 holes in the baffles. Some will advice against it. My old bike was like that when I bought it, I liked it. To each his own.

Don't feel bad.... :thumb: First thing I did when I got my bike was fit it with a Yoshimura can! We like our bikes for a reason..Learn your bike? Sure, but we all know the dirty little secret. We like to go fast...and we like the way they sound.    just take it nice and slow...Have fun that's the whole point.I sit many a night out in the garage, with a nice cigar and just admire the machine....how I can improve it!
The worlds fastest Indian movie has alot of the love of machines that makes us smile.

You can find some Yoshi's on Ebay that have been lay down and have a few dents and scratches. They come apart fairly easy. So,beating the dents out with a rubber mallet on a steel pipe and a little buffing. You can get a 300.00 can for about 20.00-50.00.Google up repacking a Yoshimura muffler on the net. When your ready to mount it,just go and find a good muffler shop. They will take it from there. :thumb:
Well, either you're part of the problem, part of the solution,...

I don't know whats up house's but... It's perfectly fine to want an upgraded exhaust. I have always like my Vance & Hines. (it's a direct fit) but the options are endless if you will spend some time and a little cash to build your own.

i didnt buy my bike to learn on , this is bike number 4 for me , but in the UK , insuance is a nightmare , and u HAVE to have it , so this has impressive speed ., and excellent handling to boot , for a modest 550 pounds a year insurance , plus i bought it on looks , i didnt even test drive it , it had had a rebuild and was from a shop . so i didnt have to worry , another thing i noticed was the torque arm has been bent already ,so iu think it had a bigger wheel before , i alsp have a feeling it had some engine work , becuase ppl consider it slow , i dont at all

Damn skippy......and you're not the only one with a yoshi exhaust now :flipoff:  Only difference is mine's hooked up to an engine pumping out 3X the power :flipoff: :o

I've got a cobra F1S exhaust...it's a slip on. Cut off your old one and get a muffler shop to weld it on and you're done. sounds pretty good, not too flashy, but not like the bumble bee it was.

I, along with many others, have said it a million times, try to do a search first. There is many topics on this subject.Next thing a lot of us say is,if you have enough money any thing can be made to work.Just about any slip on muffler from a 600cc sport bike that has a right side mounted exhaust will work.Just remember you'll have to cut your factory exhaust to fit a different can.

Oh damn! I feel it coming on again!Yep!It's the Wiki.Check this link out for more info. http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Upgrades/Exhaust
